Please keep a lookout for this missing person....

The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public's help in locating a missing person. Twenty-year-old Heather Stiles, pictured here, left her home on Cypress Shores Road in Washington, on July 15, 2019 at about 12 noon and has not been heard from since. Heather is described as 5’ 2” tall, weighs 110 pounds and has dark brown hair. She was last seen wearing black jeans, a maroon shirt and pink and white tennis shoes. It is believed she may have been traveling on foot to Wal Mart in Washington to pick up money sent to her by a man she met on the internet, possibly named “Hugo Castillo” pictured here, and she may be headed to Houston, Texas.

Heather’s family believes she has a learning disability and can be easily taken advantage of. If you have any information as to the whereabouts of Heather Stiles, please call the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division at 252-946-7111 or contact your local law enforcement agency.

Beaufort County Sheriff's Office - NC

Great job by all agencies involved....

Beaufort County Crime Stoppers
Rash of Beaufort County B&E's Solved: Warrants Issued

Since late May of this year the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office has received over 30 reported incidents of motor vehicle break-ins from citizens in Washington Park, Bath, Cypress Landing, Tranter’s Run and River Birch. In those reports’ victims awakened to find someone had entered their unlocked vehicles during the night and stolen personal items, guns and cash. In some cases, the suspects entered attached garages to get into a vehicle and took other items while inside. During the same time frame, the cities of Greenville, Washington and Pitt County were all experiencing similar crimes. On July 1, 2019 using evidence gathered during our investigation and evidence obtained while working with the Washington Police Department, Greenville Police Department and the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office, Beaufort County Sheriff’s Investigators brought forth 149 felony and 37 misdemeanor charges against 5 separate suspects for their participation in the break-ins. Derrell Anthony White and Shyann Wooden both of Washington, were arrested on July 2nd and are currently being held in the Beaufort County Detention Center. Thaddeus Maurice Wallace Jr, Trevelleia Carter, and Dytavius Wooden, all of Washington are currently being held in the Pitt County Detention Center for similar crimes and have not yet been served with the Beaufort County charges. This was a good team effort by all agencies involved.
