On 7/16/2019, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Robert Blount, 29 years of age, of 537 S. 7th Street in Aurora and Jayvion Wright, 23 years of age, of 346 Middle Road in Aurora.  Blount was charged with Driving without a License, Flee to Elude Arrest with a Motor Vehicle, Fictitious Information to an Officer, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Heroin, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine and Possession of Marijuana.  Wright was charged with Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Heroin, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

  Their arrest stemmed from Investigators witnessing Blount driving a vehicle with no license and Wright was the passenger.  Investigators activated blue lights and siren and attempted to stop Blount.  Blount refused to stop.  Investigators pursed Blount for approximately 1 ½ miles on Spring Creek Road in Aurora before Blount stopped.  When Blount stopped a plastic bag containing 3.5 grams of heroin, a plastic bag containing 2.8 grams of cocaine and a plastic bag containing marijuana was thrown out the passenger window.

Investigators conducted a search of the vehicle and found a plastic snorting straw on the passenger side of the vehicle.  Blount gave a fake name at the time of his arrest.  Blount and Wright were both confined in the Beaufort County Detention under a $25,000.00 secured bond.
