On 12/23/2019, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Donnie Mayo, 44 years of age, of 415 Carrow Road in Chocowinity and Gina Elizabeth Whaley, 39 years of age, of 2252 Archie Mobley Road in Williamston.

Mayo was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Dwelling for Keeping and Selling a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Whaley was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Their arrested stemmed from Investigators executing a Search Warrant at 415 Carrow Road in Chocowinity after receiving complaints that Mayo was cooking/making Methamphetamine.

Investigators and Clandestine Lab Agents with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations executed the Search Warrant and found Methamphetamine and the remains of a Methamphetamine Lab that included toxic materials that are commonly used in the One Pot Method also known as the Shake and Bake Method in Manufacturing Methamphetamine.

Mayo is currently on post release with the Department of Public Safety Probation and Parole Division for Manufacturing Methamphetamine. Mayo was arrested on 01/31/2014 at the same residence for Manufacturing Methamphetamine. Mayo was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under no bond.

Whaley was detained in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $5,000.00 bond.
