Drug Arrest: Cocaine, Marijuana, THC Edibles

On 7/09/2020, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Cecil Peed, 30 years of age, of 50 Yonkers Drive in Washington. Peed was charged with Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Schedule VI (THC Edibles), Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana, Possession of Oxycodone a Schedule II controlled substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Peed’s arrest stemmed from Investigators conducting surveillance and witnessing Peed conduct a hand to hand drug transaction in the Chocowinity area. Investigators approached Peed and conducted a search. Investigators found approximately 24 grams of cocaine, approximately 11 grams of marijuana, 3 Oxycodone pills, 15 individual packages of edible candy/food containing THC, digital scales and plastic bags used to package a controlled substance.

Peed was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $5,000.00 secured bond.
