On May 6, 2015, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a bomb threat at Northside High School in Pinetown, NC. Pantego Volunteer Fire Department, White Oak EMS, Beaufort County Emergency Management, the NC State Highway Patrol and numerous Deputies responded to the school to assist the staff with a search after the school was evacuated. A search of the school produced no suspicious objects.

The Sheriff’s Office began an investigation and conducted interviews. Deputies learned that a note indicated a bomb was in the building was found in the boy’s restroom. The investigation is ongoing.
