On 6-05-2015, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Malcolm Dante Sutton, 22 years of age, of 102 Heritage Drive in Washington. Sutton was charged with Trafficking in Cocaine, Trafficking in Opiates, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana, and Possession of a Firearm by Felon.
Sutton’s arrest stemmed from Investigators making a controlled purchase of a controlled substance from Sutton and conducting surveillance on Sutton for several hours. Investigators witnessed Sutton conducted several drug deals before approaching Sutton and executing a Search Warrant on Sutton’s residence.
Investigators and K-9 Elza searched the residence and found 29 grams of cocaine, 4.5 grams of Oxycodone prescription pills, 171 grams of marijuana, digital scales and a .32 caliber revolver pistol.
Sutton was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $125,000.00 secured bond. Sutton is currently on probation for Breaking and Entering charges in Beaufort County. Sutton is currently out on bond for Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana charges that occurred on 05-14-2015 in Pitt County.
