On December 30, 2015, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a missing person. A family member reported that Harvey Lee Crisp Jr, age 51, of Isabella Avenue in Washington left on December 27, 2015, to return to work in Virginia. The family member was later notified that Crisp had not showed up for work. The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with Prince William County Police Department in Virginia began an investigation and conducted interviews.
On December 31, 2015, information obtained during the investigation led Investigators to the Tranter’s Creek Wildlife ramp located on Clark’s Neck Road in Washington. Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office along with the Sidney Dive Team conducted a search of Tranter’s Creek area. During the search, Crisp was located deceased in Tranter’s Creek. Although the investigation is ongoing, Investigators do not suspect foul play.
