On August 4, 2016 the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received two reports of Breaking & Entering and Larcenies.  One from Eddie’s Service Station on NC Hwy 32 N, in Pinetown and the other from the Veri Kwik Convenient Store on NC Hwy 33 E, in Edward.  In both cases cigarettes were stolen and in the break-in of the store in Edward, beer, assorted candy, and U.S. Currency was taken.

Video surveillance from both stores showed the same suspect, wearing the same clothes and driving the same car.  In the Veri Kwik break-in the suspect could be seen on video surveillance using his car to push open the store’s front door.  Working with the Pamlico County Sheriff’s Office, who had a similar reported crime, a suspect was identified in all three cases.

On the next day, August 5, 2016 Beaufort County Sheriff’s Investigators arrested Andy Filmore Kirk, 35 yrs old, of Loop Road, Belhaven at his residence.  Kirk was taken before a Beaufort County Magistrate where he was charged with 2 counts of Breaking and Entering, 2 counts of Felony Larceny after Breaking and Entering and 2 counts of Damage to Real Property.  Kirk was ordered held on a $25,000.00 secured bond.  He was also served with a warrant from Pamlico County where he received a $10,000.00 secured bond.
