On May 26, 2016 the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a larceny from a residence on Loop Rd in Belhaven. The Sheriff’s Office began an investigation in to the crime.
After conducting interviews and collecting evidence, Investigator Jason Hill applied for and obtained warrants charging Stephen Cruze Foster, age 28, of Vernon Drive, with one count of Felony Larceny, and one count of Obtaining Property by False Pretense.
On August 28, 2016 Foster who was also wanted for Failure to Appear in Court, was arrested by Beaufort County Sheriff’s Deputies. Foster was taken before a Magistrate and was ordered held in the Beaufort County Detention Center on a $60,000 secured bond. Also arrested at the same time, was Jamie Leigh Hazzard Reason, age 38. Reason was charged with Harboring a Fugitive and ordered held on a $5,000.00 secured bond.
