On 12-5-2016, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested, Kameron Sapsford, 31 years of age, of 2897 Whichards Beach Road in Chocowinity and Samuel Sapsford, 59 years of age, of 2897 Whichards Beach Road in Chocowinity.

Kameron Sapsford was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine Precursor, Manufacture Marijuana, Possession of Alprazolam a Schedule IV Controlled Substance and Possession of Adderall a Schedule II Controlled Substance.

Samuel Sapsford was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine Precursor, Manufacture Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Their arrest stemmed from Investigators conducting surveillance on Kameron and Samuel after learning they were purchasing an unusual amount of Pseudoephedrine from multiple pharmacies in Beaufort County.  Pseudoephedrine is the main ingredient used in manufacturing Methamphetamines.  During surveillance Investigators witnessed Kameron purchasing other items used in manufacturing Methamphetamine such as lithium batteries and petroleum based organic solvents.
