The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office would like to invite you to bring your unused or expired prescription and over-the-counter medicines to the Operation Medicine Drop event on April 24th. The event is being held at Lowe’s on Carolina Ave in Washington from 10 AM – 2 PM. By doing this, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit can properly dispose of these medications. As a reminder, never throw medications in the trash or flush down the toilet. To ensure we are practicing social distancing and limited contact, you can pull up in your car to the drop off location and you can pass the medication to a Deputy and they will put it in the box for you.
