On 08/12/2021, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Phillip Rahim Reeves, 39 years of age, of 7201 Hwy. 33 East in Chocowinity. Reeves was charged with Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Reeves’ arrest stemmed from Investigators receiving complaints about Reeves selling drugs. Investigator conducted a traffic stop on Reeves and conducted a search after K-9 Bodi alerted on the vehicle Reeves was driving. Investigators found marijuana and a digital scale in the vehicle.

Reeves was arrested and transported to the magistrate’s office where Reeves asked to go to the bathroom. Investigators escorted Reeves to the bathroom. While in the bathroom, Investigators witnessed Reeves shove a plastic bag containing cocaine up his rectum. The plastic bag containing approximately 7 grams of cocaine was retrieved from Reeves’ rectum.

Reeves was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $10,000.00 secured bond.
