On 7/21/23 at approximately 11:41 AM, Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a person in Bath Creek near a private dock on North Main Street in Bath, NC. Deputies responded and found James Neal Langford, 50 years of age, of North Main Street, Bath deceased in the water. Although the investigation is still active, Deputy’s do not suspect foul play.
Bath Volunteer Fire Department and Broad Creek EMS also responded to the scene to assist.
