On April 27, 2017, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a Breaking and Entering and Larceny from a home on South Asbury Church Rd in Washington.   The homeowner told Deputies someone had forcibly entered his home and taken an X Box gaming system, jewelry and money during the break-in.  The Sheriff’s Office began collecting evidence and speaking with witnesses.

As a result of the information and evidence gathered in this case, Investigator Jason Hill recovered most of the stolen property.  Upon further investigation warrants were issued by a Magistrate, charging Marquel Levette Warren, age 29 of Washington, with one count of Breaking and Entering, one count of Larceny After Breaking and Entering and four counts of Obtaining Property by False Pretense.   Warren was arrested by the Washington Police Department and ordered held in the Beaufort County Detention Center on a $15,000 secured bond.
