In August 2018, Kyle Modlin, 27 years of age, of 7190 Broad Creek Road in Washington was placed on House Arrest as part of the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Pretrial Release Program.  Modlin was placed on House Arrest for pending charges of Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Dwelling and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On 11-27-2018, Investigators with The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit received information that Modlin had slipped his ankle monitor off and was still using and selling Methamphetamine.  Investigators executed a Search Warrant on Modlin’s residence and found the ankle monitor and methamphetamine drug paraphernalia inside Modlin’s residence. Modlin was nowhere to found.

Investigators received information that Modlin was on the run but still in Beaufort County.  Investigators continued to conduct surveillance and search for Modlin.

On 12-17-2018, Investigators tracked Modlin to a residence in William Modlin’s MHP in Bath where Modlin was hiding.  Investigators entered the residence and encountered Modlin in the kitchen area of the residence.  Modlin was wearing a Colt 10 mm pistol on his side and found to be in possession of more methamphetamine, digital scales, packaging material and a .22 Caliber Revolver.

Modlin was arrested and charged with Interference with an Electronic Monitoring Device, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Methamphetamine and three (3) counts of Possession or Drug Paraphernalia.  Modlin was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $280,000.00 secured bond.
