On 6-21-2015, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Billy Dwayne Ellison Jr., 41 years of age, of 2181 Old New Bern Road in Chocowinity. Ellison was charged with Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Vehicle to Store/Keep a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Ellison’s arrest stemmed from K-9 Elza alerting on a vehicle that Ellison was driving during a traffic stop. Investigators with the Drug Unit conducted a search and found 3 plastic bags containing Crystal Methamphetamine, Digital Scales, glass pipes used to smoke Methamphetamine and plastic bags used to repackage Methamphetamine.
Ellison was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $40,000.00 secured bond.
