On November 12, 2015 at approximately 7:11 PM, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a shooting at a residence on Core Point Road in Blounts Creek. Responding Deputies located one male suffering from a single gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Vidant Pitt Hospital with a nonlife threatening injury and released.
The Sheriff’s Office began an investigation, collected evidence, and conducted interviews. Although the investigation is ongoing, evidence collected at the scene indicates the shooting was an isolated incident resulting from a domestic dispute.
