On 12-11-2015, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit served arrest warrants on Vergia Jones, 64 years of age, of 315 Nelson Farm Road in Chocowinity. Jones was charged with five (5) counts of Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance.
Jones arrest stemmed from Investigators receiving complaints that Jones was involved in the distribution of prescription pain medication. Investigators purchased oxycodone pills and fentanyl patches from Jones.
Jones was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $15,000.00 secured bond.
