Beaufort County Sheriff's Office / ICAC Task Force Arrest


On January 21, 2026, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Ronald Levon Dennis Jr., of Chocowinity, NC following an investigation into online offenses involving the sexual exploitation of minors.

This arrest stemmed from an investigation by the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, in coordination with the Raleigh Police Department.

The investigation began in October 2025 after ICAC investigators identified online activity consistent with the distribution of child sexual abuse material. Investigators conducted a comprehensive digital investigation which resulted in the execution of a search warrant for a residence on Price Rd. in Chocowinity NC.

As a result of the investigation, Ronald Levon Dennis Jr. was arrested on January 21, 2026 and charged with (10) counts of 2nd Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.

Ronald Dennis Jr. was booked into the Beaufort County Detention Center and given no bond. Court proceedings are pending. No further details will be released at this time to protect the integrity of the investigation and the privacy of victims.

The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office ICAC Task Force is dedicated to identifying, arresting, and prosecuting individuals who exploit children through the internet and other digital technologies. The task force also works to identify and rescue victims and provide resources for prevention and education.
