Man Pleads Guilty to Flower and Shrubbery Theft

On June 13th, 2025, Detectives with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an unknown subject going onto someone’s property in the Washington area and cutting their Camellia bushes without permission. The Sheriff’s Office received reports of several other similar incidents occurring across the county recently. A resident from the Chocowinity area reported that a subject told them they are using the bushes for wedding decorations.


After a thorough investigation was completed by Detectives with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, 28-year-old Cedric Keshan Razor Jr was identified and charged with the following charges:

(6) counts of Injury to Real Property

(6) counts of Misdemeanor Larceny


On June 11th, 2026, Cedric Razor pled guilty to all charges and was given 180 days suspended sentence and 36 months supervised probation. Razor was ordered to pay restitution to all victims in this case.
